South American Model Base (SAMBA)
SAMBA is a model of South America's electricity supply that represents each country's electricity supply system and transmission links between them. The model is open source and written in OSeMOSYS.
SAMBA is constantly being updated and the current version is SAMBA_0508. Due to large size of the model, and consequently long solve times, users are advised to employ a powerful solver (e.g. CPLEX or Gurobi)
